National Board Teacher Certification Program

The Clark County School District and local universities have partnered to support the National Board Certification process.  To this end, workshops are designed to support candidates for National Board Certification and courses in a Master’s degree program in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Teacher Leadership are offered in tandem. Classes for the Advanced Studies Certificate aligned with National Boards are also offered through the Center for Teacher Excellence. Any teacher or school counselor who is interested in improving his/her practice through reflection and classroom-based evidence may participate.  These programs target teachers who want to stay in the classroom and develop as teacher leaders at the school or district level.
