Teacher Mentoring

The goal of the Teacher Mentoring Program is to increase student achievement by supporting and assisting new teachers in their development as highly effective teachers, develop teacher leaders, and increase the retention rate of highly qualified teachers in the district.

The Teacher Mentoring Program provides new teacher support and assistance to meet the needs of the individual teacher. This includes a balance of task and relationship activities and continuous mentoring support during the teachers’ initial years in the profession.

Testimonials
  • "There were several ideas that were shared by trainers and others who were new to the district. Allowing people to share teaching and classroom ideas is fabulous. Some things you just don't learn from a book, and having heard it from someone that made it work is so helpful...This was a great program. What a fabulous way to help new teachers."
