Substitute Job Opportunities
There are several types of substitutes in the Clark County School District including substitute "Guest" Teachers, Support Staff "Paraprofessional" Substitutes, and Coaching. If you are applying for a substitute position, please follow the directions below to proceed.
Substitute Teacher
Substitute teachers or guest teachers serve in the absence of a regular contracted teacher. Guest teachers must have earned a minimum of 62 college credits with six of the credits in approved education courses and are required by the State of Nevada to hold a valid Substitute Teaching license. Being a substitute teacher is also a great way for individuals who are working toward a degree in education to gain valuable classroom experience.

Support Staff Substitute
Support Staff Substitutes or Paraprofessional substitutes serve in the absence of a regular Support Staff employee such as an Instructional Assistant, Special Programs Teacher Assistant, Physical Education Aide, and Library Aide. If you are interested in gaining experience in a field other than teaching, a support staff substitute may be the position for you. Support Staff Substitutes are required to hold a minimum of a High School diploma.

Become a primary or assistant coach for virtually any sport during any season. Individuals can volunteer or be paid, but must be selected and approved by a specific school in order to apply.
