The Clark County School District is the fifth-largest school district in the nation, with over 300,000 students in more than 340 schools. There are approximately 38,000 employees in the Clark County School District, including over 4,000 substitute teachers.
Substitute “guest” teachers and support staff “paraprofessionals” are a very important part of the Clark County School District work force, and make it possible for schools to carry out the educational program in the absence of the regular education professional.
