Purpose:
Teach For America is the organization building the national movement
to end educational inequity in the United States. It calls upon
the most promising future leaders to commit two years to teach in
America’s most under-resourced school districts, leading their
students to significant academic gains. In the process, Teach For
America teachers gain the skills and experience necessary to become
lifelong advocates for social change in a variety of professional
fields.
