The Clark County School District and local universities have partnered to support the National Board Certification process.  To this end, workshops are designed to support candidates for National Board Certification and courses in a Master’s degree program in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Teacher Leadership are offered in tandem.  The program emphasizes developing teachers as school and district leaders through courses such as Action Research, Reflective Thinking, and a seminar on National Board Certification.

Any teacher who is interested in improving his/her practice through reflection and classroom-based evidence may participate.  This program targets teachers who want to stay in the classroom and develop as teacher leaders at the school or district level.
